Traces of the past now
disappeared
Today there is a reinforced concrete walkway, Instead of the ancient bridge of S. Magno, demolished in the 1930s.
The ancient Roman stone bridge called
"Ponte di San Magno" in an image of 1903. This is an
important testimony of road work; the bridge was located in
the area of the former Civic slaughterhouse, near the modern
Carabinieri barracks. In ancient times it was used to
connect the village to the Castle and was demolished in 1939
to set up the course of Olona river and build the existing
concrete walkway that connects Guerciotti Street and Macello
Street.
