Description
Textile factories along the river: a rebirth is expected from the ruins?
Dye-works and textiles factories inhabited the course of the river, such as the Mottana or Borghi cotton mill (after also Del Seprio and Solbiate). Today they are abandoned and they are waiting for a rebirth.
Next to the nearby Bernocchi cotton mill there were the Borghi cotton mill (later Del Seprio and Solbiate), and Mottana dyeworks, towards Sempione Avenue, which created an axis of textile industries along the river Olona, in correspondence with old mills. Today in disuse and abandoned, partly reused, they await a rebirth.
