The denomination of the Mill Starquà is due to an episode that saw it as a protagonist is remembered on a headstone inside it, on which it's possible to read: “In this place, on the 4th February 1853, not suppressed the Milanese uprising yet, the estate manager of this mill, addressing to count Radetzky's troop, that after a forage and victuals raid intended to plant a bivouac, ordering him and his kins the immediate evacuation, resolutely replied – we want to stay here! – eminent example of corageous resistence to the foreign oppressor”.
