Description



The battle was fight in the Parabiago's country, between the Milan's army of Azzone Visconti, led by the aunt Luchino, and the army of the other aunt Lodrisio; how wanted to be the master of Milan. At the death of the master of Milan Galeazzo I Visconti in 1327, the only heir  was the son of him Azzone, that bought the title of Vicario di Milano.
In 1332 under the control of Azzone, the two aunt Luchino and Giovanni Visconi Archbishop started to work with Azzone. The other aunt Lodrisio, tried to depose the 3 men and made up an army called Compagnia di San Giorgio. With the help of Mastino, Master of Verona, Lorisio made some accords with the enemies of the nephew.  Lodrisio decided to surprise the enemies, entering secretly in Parabiago from 3 streets: from Canegrate, from Sempione street and from the Olona. The Battle started. In the middle of the battle, appeared Saint Ambrogio, called from the prayers of Luchino. Angry, he began to hit the soldiers of Lodrisio, so the Milan's army felt confident and defeated the enemies.
