Description

The church gives the name to the road and the ancient neighborhood St. Michele. On its left side  there's  Mercato's square, neuralgic center of the historian and popular Fair or Feast of St. Michael. Scarce they are the documents related to the origin of this small church, the actual one probably rises on the ruins of an ancient chapel devoted to Michael the archangel, the archangel of the victorious battles. The chapel is situated where in 1339, there was the first clash of the famous Battle of Parabiago. The actual structure, in base of the construction's style, should be dated to the first halves the XVII century. The facade is in mole-classical forms. Now entering  we can admire the only aisle with a deep apse that welcomes the altar. A great central fresco represents St. Michael that pierces Lucifero and the Virgo and posts them to the feet of the cross of Christ. The tabernacle, almost hidden behind the altar, is provided of a gold plate and represents the center the last supper. The actual structure probably rises on the ruins of an ancient chapel devoted to Michael the archangel, the archangel of the victorious battles. The chapel is situated where in 1339, there was the first clash of the famous Battle of Parabiago.
