Description
Now we can
give a look to the Place Maggiolini, the historical city center. In
this square
converge the 4 most ancient streets of the city (S. Maria, S. Michele,
S.
Ambrogio, near the church and S.
Antonio). Since 1610, year of the construction, the place has been
changing.
Originally tight and full of houses, in 1783 with the church's
renovation, the
place took the actually aspect, thanks to Giuseppe Maggiolini. Narrowed
and
surfaced in 1967 for reason of road
condition, nowadays is the heart of the public life.
